With an annual military budget of more than $ 610 billion, it doesn’t comes as a surprise if one gets to know that the United States invests in top secret facilities where dark operations take place.
These large secret facilities are intended for tests of secret weaponry, nuclear bunkers, chemical experimentation, command centers continuity of Government and a wider array.
Some of the facilities, such as Area 51, are well marked. However there are many other bases less known and much more annoying by the operations that are carried out in them.
Let’s know the 10 US secret military bases that the Government would have preferred if we did not know.
1 Cheyenne Mountain Complex, Norad Headquarters
The Cheyenne Mountain Complex is dug into a mountain in Colorado Springs. Inside, the NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) has been installed, in charge of monitoring everything that happens in outer space and in North American airspace.
The Cheyenne Mountain Complex can cut off and house around 800 people for 30 days, in case a nuclear war breaks out. The 25-ton armored doors guarantee that no intruder will access the premises, buried under a half-kilometer of granite.
2 Dugway Proving Grounds Chemical Testing Center
The Dugway Proving Grounds in Tooele, Utah, is a military weapons testing center.
It is the size of the state of Rhode Island and its construction began two months after the attacks of Pearl Harbor.
For last 60 years, new generation weapons, secret airplanes, particle beams, chemical and biological weapons, and other weapons have been tested there. Being spread in the 4500 square meter of area, Reginald Kendall Combined this center with Chemical Testing Facility, where chemical warfare detection and protective clothing are tested.
3 Raven Rock Alternative Control Center
The Raven Rock Alternative Command Center or “R Site” is the location from which US military forces would be directed in the event of a third world war or nuclear war. As in the case of Cheyenne Mountain, the center is designed to be self-sufficient for 30 days after a nuclear attack. Some reports state that there is a 6-mile tunnel, which connects the center with the presidential residence of Camp David.
In his book “Top Secret Tourism,” author Harry Helms points out that mobile phones and GPS devices do not work near the R site, suggesting that there is a permanent locking mechanism in place to prevent people from communicating in or near the facilities.
4 Fort Detrick Biological War Testing Center
Shortly after the Pearl Harbor attacks, President Roosevelt selected Fredrick, Maryland, as the location for the first US biological warfare program in 1942. Fort Detrick became a testing center for biological toxins or infectious agents.
In the 1950s and 60s, scientists at the Fort Detrick, along with the United States Navy, conducted six experimental biological warfare attacks in the city of San Francisco to test the vulnerability of the general population to germs Biological.
For eight days, a ship moved near the coast of San Francisco Bay. The ship launch filled the clouds with two types of supposedly non-pathogenic germs, considered “realistic simulators of how they could be used in a biological attack”. Of the six tests performed, four contained Bacillus globigii and two contained Serratia marcescens.
5 Mount Weather & the Government Continuity Underground Facilities
Mount Weather is another one of those High Secret facilities located in the interior of a mountain, in Berryville, Virginia.
At the time, these facilities became the biggest secret since the Manhattan Project, which led to the creation of the atomic bomb. Mount Weather is destined to protect the military elite in the event of a major disaster. In fact, during the September 11, 2001, many senior officials, including Vice President Cheney, took refuge here.
In addition to its many homes and recreational facilities, Mount Weather also has a crematorium and a radio and television station. It has long been rumored that this military installation houses officials and commanders of an alternative chain of command, a kind of parallel government so to speak, who would take over the situation in the unlikely event that the entire presidential command line would disappear.
6 Wright Patterson’s Air Base
This air base located in Dayton, Ohio, was home to Project Blue Book and the infamous Hangar 18, giving rise to all sorts of conspiracy theories. This base is investigated in advanced aeronautical technologies. The base has 22,000 employees and 6000 permanent staff members with their families living at the base, which make it impossible for them to land on flying saucers unnoticed.
Many people are convinced that after the alleged UFO crash in Roswell, much of the remains of the alien aircraft and the bodies of the aliens were taken to Wright Patterson and stored in a facility that came to be known as the Hangar 18. The bodies of the aliens were kept in a room called “Blue Room”, according to theories of conspiracy.
However, a much more realistic explanation indicates that the Air Force and the CIA use the flying saucer and UFO phenomenon as well as the alleged Blue Book Project as a disinformation campaign. They altogether hid sightings of spy planes -The U2 and SR-71, as well as other types of stealth aircraft that would be being developed by the government in secret.
7 AREA 51
Everyone has heard of the famous, Area 51.
In fact, Area 51 has become more popular since the Roswell incident in the late 1940s.
Whether in Area 51 or in a different military facility, such as Dulce’s mysterious base, it seems likely is that the US government is involved in all kinds of high-level technological experiments.
The speculations and conspiracy theories surrounding the Area 51 are the most extensive and varied: experimentation with aliens, extraterrestrial spacecraft engineering recovered from Roswell, extraterrestrial miscegenation, quantum teleportation, advanced artificial intelligence, high-tech propulsion systems, and technology to travel in time.
The most recent theory about the Roswell incident that it was taken to Area 51 from Roswell, was not actually of extraterrestrial origin, but was a failed Soviet experiment.
8 PLANT 42
The high-security facility is spread over 2350 hectares and no stranger has even the slightest chance of even approaching to see what happens inside. In fact, any vehicle that approaches the outer perimeter of the facility is quickly harassed by the police.
These facilities are a remnant of Ronald Reagan’s “Star Wars” initiative.
The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) in Gakona, Alaska is one of the most controversial and mysterious military projects in recent history. The official objectives of this program were to investigate the ionosphere, firing high-frequency waves into the ionosphere for scientific research (which meant that it had no military applications, which is hard to believe).
However, conspiracy theories, as well as some real solid evidence, suggest that the real goal of HAARP went beyond a mere scientific project.
The most bizarre conspiracy theories claim to be a facility used to test electromagnetic mind control signals; others claim that they are used to test geo-engineering technology and climate modification; others that HAARP is used to cause earthquakes in other parts of the world or that it is used to generate holographic technology capable of projecting three-dimensional images in the sky. The mysterious sounds that sometimes hit the region have also been attributed to HAARP activity.
There are reports, suggesting that HAARP has always been a cover up to the real secret facilities, located near Poker Flats, north of Fairbanks, Alaska.
10 Secret Military Base Under Archuleta Mesa
This is the only base mentioned in this article, which may not actually exist.
This is one of the alleged bases most related to the marginal world of conspiracy theories.
This alleged secret military base would be a secret alien underground facility located under Archuleta Mesa, on the border between Colorado and New Mexico. However, the government does not officially recognize the existence of the base and no one has been able to provide a single substantial proof that there are aliens in that place.
To the list of secret bases, could also have incorporated those of China Lake, Edwards Base, Lawrence Livermore, Onizuka Air Force Base, Buckley Air Force Base, Peterson Air Force and Fort Gordon. The existence of all these bases has for long been ignored by the common population, but it clearly indicates that there can be many more technologies that now seem to be unimaginable or fantasy.
Unfortunately, the profusion of conspiracy theories has only served to confuse the population, leading many people to the automatic denial of any conspiracy.
